This service is a value-added service offered by Air China for passengers who have special dietary needs for religious, medical and/or other reasons.
②Meal introduction
This meal contains children’s favorite foods. Not too salty or too sweet.
This meal contains meat, vegetables or fruits. It may be soft textured, minced meat, vegetable puree and dessert.
This meal does not include beef or pork. It may include lamb, poultry, other meats, fish, or dairy products. This special meal is prepared for the small number of Indian passengers who are allowed to eat meat or fish.
All foods are prepared and served according to Jewish dietary requirements and are purchased from reputable manufacturers. (Note: Reservation must be made 48 hours in advance.)
This meal does not contain pork, bacon, ham, animal gelatin, animal fats alcohol, non-scaled fish, eel or turtle. All poultry and meats used are slaughtered ad cooked according to Halal tradition.
This meal is intended for members of the Jain community as well as those who are purely vegetarians. It is prepared using Asian methods. It contains no root vegetables such as onions, ginger, garlic, or carrots, and contains no animal products and by-products.
This meal includes low fat and low fiber foods. It does not include fried foods, black pepper, strong vegetables and condiments, mustard, pickles, garlic, nuts, and drinks containing caffeine or alcohol. It is suitable for passengers who suffer from stomach or intestinal problems.
Dishes are low-sugar foods suitable for diabetics and passengers on a low-sugar diet. It does not contain sugar of any kind.
This meal contains only fruits, including fresh fruit, fruit compote and fruit desserts.
This meal is prepared for passengers who are allergic or intolerant to gluten (gluten is a protein contained in wheat, barley, oats, and rye). Breads, sauces, custards, cakes, chocolates, crackers, cereals, and related products are strictly excluded.
This meal contains lean meat, low-fat dairy products and high-fiber foods. Sugars, creams, sauces, mayonnaise and fatty foods, are excluded.
This meal is specially designed for passengers who enjoy seafood, and includes one or more kinds of seafood. It does not contain any meat products.
This meal is intended for passengers who need to reduce their fat intake. It does not contain fried foods, fatty meats, dairy products, processed foods, gravy, offal, shellfish, egg yolks, or baked goods.
This meal contains low levels of sodium. It is prepared for passengers suffering from hypertension, urinary retention, and nephropathy. It does not contain or include salt, garlic salt, glutamine, soda, pickles, canned meat and fish, creams, cheeses, shellfish, mashed potatoes, gravy, chicken powder, bread, and canned vegetables.
The meal does not contain any lactose, dairy or related products like cheese, dairy, yogurt, butter, artificial meat products, cake, cookies, cream desserts, pudding, mashed potatoes, toffee, and chocolate.
This meal contains raw fruits and vegetables and does not contain any animal protein.
This meal is usually ordered by passengers from the Asian Sub-Continent. It generally includes vegetables produced in Asia and does not contain meat or seafood.
Also known as “Vegan meal”, this meal is totally free from animal products or by-products or by-products. It does not include meat, fish, dairy products, eggs, cheese, and related products, or margarine.
This meal does not contain any meat, seafood, or related products, but it may contain butter, cheese, milk and eggs.
This meal is prepared in Chinese or oriental style. It contains no meat, fish, game, dairy products, or any underground root vegetable, such as ginger, garlic, onion, green onions, etc.
③Booking description
Eligibility for requests: Air China-operated flights.
Request time limit:
Kosher meal: Must be requested at least 48 hours (inclusive) prior to the flight’s expected departure time.
Other special meal requirements: Must be requested at least 24 hours (inclusive) prior to the scheduled departure time.
Special routes:
Kosher and seafood meals are not offered on any domestic flights operated by Air China, or on any domestic flight segments of international and regional flights.
Change requests:
If you have booked a special meal and need to make changes to your request, you should do so within 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time (and at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time for Kosher meals), otherwise we will not be able to accommodate the changes to your request.

Other provisions:
Due to differing capacities from the catering company, fulfillment of your special request is subject to system approval.
In case of changes to your flight (including but not limited to: flight cancellations, date changes, class upgrades, endorsements) or any other special circumstances, please contact the Air China hotline on 95583 to re-book your special meal request. Your request will be answered by a member of staff.
Once a special meal reservation is made, we will no longer be able to provide you with the regular meal service.
