Hearing impairment

1. Service Description

Hearing-impaired passengers refer to passengers who are deaf or have severe hearing impairments. To ensure a smooth journey, we provide free guidance and assistance services for visually impaired passengers traveling alone. This service can be reserved through Air China's website, Air China app, Air China hotline, Air China ticketing offices, and our authorized airline sales agents.

2. Applicable routes

(1) Applicable to point-to-point direct flights (including stopover flights) or connecting flights operated by Air China and bearing Air China flight numbers.

(2) Applicable to all aircraft types operated by Air China.

3. Application Deadline

At least 2 hours (including) before the estimated departure time of the flight.

4. Service Limitations

(1) For safety reasons, hearing-impaired passengers under the age of 16 are not allowed to travel alone and must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 18 years old and has full legal capacity. Hearing-impaired passengers are also not allowed to sit in emergency exit seats.

(2) To provide better service, there may be certain limitations on the number of special service requests accepted for each flight. Please refer to the actual service application situation.

5. Voluntary Changes and Cancellations

(1) If you need to cancel the service, you can do so through the original channel of application, Air China ticketing offices, or authorized sales agents.

(2) If you need to change the flight and service, you should cancel the service first and then reapply.

6. Check-in Registration Tips

Hearing-impaired passengers who have completed the necessary procedures should arrive at the check-in counter at least 120 minutes before the estimated departure time of the flight.
